Age of Robots - Episode 2: Animal Robots: Bioinspired Technology | | ENDEVR Documentary Robotics & AI - The Future of Humanity: Mankind has always looked at nature to solve complex problems taking a cue from the brilliant solutions that biological systems have refined through natural selection. Now it's the turn of robot makers to recreate some of nature’s inner workings and mechanics to create a new class of artificial systems - Bioinspired Robots. In the episode we look underground at a new type of robotic plant that mimics the mechanics of plant roots. Insects serve as inspiration for several types of drones as well as a very peculiar jumping robot that resembles a cricket. We then dive underwater to see robots inspired by fish and amphibians. Back on dry land we examine robots inspired by mammals and by our closest cousin - the chimp. This series guides us through the discovery of the most intriguing projects that robotics has to offer, getting to know machines and ideas that will impact our future or are already part of our everyday lives. We examine a variety of robots in action - from androids created to entertain to machines designed to explore inhospitable habitats, from the wonders of biomimetics to the cities of tomorrow. A unique, exciting and accessible point of view that shows the viewer that robotics no longer belongs to science fiction but to contemporary reality. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe ENDEVR for free: Facebook: Instagram: ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #ENDEVR #AgeOfRobots ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ENDEVR explains the world we live in through high-class documentaries, special investigations, explainers videos and animations.
